A VOICE SILENCED commemorates the life of Viennese-born Leonore Schwarz Neumaier, well-known opera singer and one of the victims of the Holocaust.

A VOICE SILENCED by American-born granddaughter Diane Leonore Neumaier was produced in collaboration with her father, Dr. John Neumaier, the son of Leonore Schwarz Neumaier. In addition to historical images, the exhibition includes contemporary artworks by Diane Neumaier—inspired by the grandmother she was never able to know.
